About Gabrielle Binks
I'm passionate about processes, traditional craft and playful use of colour. I enjoy naturally handcrafted, old intricate items that tell a story. I've always loved the patina of wear, the traditional and the contemporary - blending the two together with quality of workwomanship. I see magic happen in front of me when turning a ball of wool or other fibre into something to wear, it truly is remarkable that our hands can create something from seemingly nothing and then even undo and redo it! Often my work is freestyle, creating through feeling and the knowledge of materials and processes. My love and need to create is literally medicine and to share these wonderful gifts is so special. Thank you!
